The United Nations has drawn on its extensive experience as well as the expertise of partners to develop practical guidance material to support mediation actors. This section contains a selection of UN documents in the areas of mediation and conflict prevention, including reports of the Secretary-General as well as resolutions and documents from the Security Council and the General Assembly. In addition to its operational activities, DPPA has developed a comprehensive mediation training package, which forms part of its ongoing efforts to professionalize mediation within and beyond the United Nations.
