This is the second Annual Report of the South African Constitutional Assembly. The report offers a general view of the constitution-making process as a whole, but focuses on developments since the publication of the first Annual Report in May 1995. The document first provides a historical background of the process. It details the structure and composition of the Constitutional Assembly, thematic committees, and other structures such as the Independent Panel of Constitutional Experts, and the administration.
