The agreement legalises the Los Comandos Ernesto Rojas as a political party, details a plan for reinsertion and establishes procedures for Disarmament, Demobilization and Reintegration (DDR).
Chapultepec Agreement
This comprehensive agreement concluded the peace process in El Salvador. It deals with the comprehensive reform of the armed forces, civilian police, justice system, electoral system, economic and social arrangements, land and property issues. The agreement also includes provisions for the political participation of the FMLN and for a final ceasefire with the disarmament, demobilisation and reintegration of the armed groups.
New York Act II
The Act confirms that all outstanding issues have been resolved and sets the date for the signing of the final agreement in Mexico City on 16 January 1992.
