This ceasefire agreement between the FADR and Le Haut Commandment des Forces d'Autodefense de la Resistance provides implementation arrangements and modalities to give effect to the cessation of hostilities, prisoner release, general amnesty, reorganisation and reinsertion of the armed groups. It sets up a monitoring committee and delineates the functions of the committee during implementation. The committee is comprised of representatives from both parties.  

This agreements seeks to normalise relations between the two countries. It calls for respect of sovereignty and territorial integrity, in accordance with the Charters of the United Nations and the Organisation for African Unity. The parties also agree to renounce the use of force to resolve differences, and will take steps to prevent any hostile actions against each other.

This accord provides for cessation of hostilities. It calls for the release of prisoners of war, general amnesty, disarmament and demobilisation and reintegration of ex-combatant into society.
