In this ceasefire agreement, the Parties undertake to stop attacks on each other and from targeting civilians. They also establish a Monitoring Group consisting of 5 Member States to monitor the agreement.

This agreement provides for border security and confidence measures between the five parties to the agreement. It calls for military disclosure when the parties are undertaking border and naval exercises and for the reduction of troop levels in the border areas. It also allows the parties to observe and inspect troop movements in each other territory upon invitation. 

This agreement seeks to implement Annex 11 of the Dayton Peace Agreement on Bosnia Herzegovina to restructure and reform the police in the cantons of the Federation. 

This agreement delineates a framework for establishing friendly relations and promotion of cooperation between the parties. It calls for further substantive negotiations to regulate economic, cultural, scientific and other cooperation.

This agreement provides the principles and issues that are to be included in the future legal framework that will be established for Chiapas, which implies reform and amendment of the Federal constitution.
