This agreement provides for the conditions necessary for achieving peace, including the delineation of the relationship between the Central Government of Indonesia and the regional Government of Aceh. It elaborates on security arrangements, political participation, economic revival and promotion of human rights in Aceh. It also establishes a EU-ASEAN monitoring mission to monitor the implementation of the agreement.

Declaration of Principles for the Resolution of the Sudanese Conflict in Darfur

In this Declaration of Principles, the parties reiterate their commitment to negotiate in good faith and respect previous agreements, humanitarian law and human rights. They define principles and issues that shall guide the future negotiations: the diversity of Sudan, democracy, citizenship, power and wealth sharing, refugee’s right to return, reconstruction and reconciliation as well as the management of natural resources. They call for broad security arrangements and for a Darfur-Darfur Dialogue and Consultation (DDDC).

Declaration on the Implementation of the Pretoria Agreement on the Peace Process in the Côte d'Ivoire (Pretoria II)

This agreement seeks to implement the Pretoria I Agreement of 6 of April 2005. The agreement provides a timetable for implementation of certain provisions: disarmament and dismantling of the militia to be completed by 20 August 2005; global security plan to be formulated by 7 July 2005; national laws to be amended by the National Assembly by 15 July 2005; the Independent Election Commission to be operational 31 July 2005; presidential elections to be held by October 2005.

Protocol between India and China on Modalities for the Implementation of Confidence-Building Measures in the Military Field Along the Line of actual Control in the India-China Border Areas

This agreement seeks to implement previous agreements on the Maintenance of Peace and Tranquillity along the Line of Actual Control in the India-China Border Areas of 7 September 1993 and on Confidence Building Measures in the Military Field along the Line of Actual Control in the India-China Border Areas of 29 November 1996. The parties agreed on modalities to implement the confidence building measures including through proceedures for exchange of information regarding troop movements and the conduct of bi-annual meetings on border issues.
