Ceasefire Agreement between the Government of Cote d'Ivoire, the Mouvement Populaire Ivoirien pour le Grand Ouest (MPIGO) and the Mouvement pour la Justice et la Paix (MJP)
This ceasefire agreement, signed on 13 January between the two western-based rebel movements who had not been part of the October 2002 ceasefire agreement, the Mouvement populaire ivoirien du Grand Ouest (MPIGO) and the Mouvement pour la Justice et pour la paix (MJP) as well as the Ivorian government paved the way to the peace talks in France later in January 2003 (Linas-Marcoussis Agreement).
